Delete your BakeCost account
BakeCost is the recipe-costing app for bakers developed by Xavier Llano. Here's how to delete your account and what happens to your data when you do.
From the app (recommended)
While signed in to BakeCost:
- Open the app and go to the More tab.
- Tap your account card, at the very top, to open Account.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion — we ask you twice, because it can't be undone.
Without the app (by email)
If you no longer have the app installed or can't sign in, write to [email protected] from your account's email address asking us to delete it. We'll get back to you within 30 days at most.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account we immediately, permanently, and irreversibly erase:
- Your account and your sign-in identity.
- All of your cloud-synced data: products, recipes, orders, customers, and photos.
- Your public online store (storefront), which is taken offline immediately.
In the rare case that something can't be erased at that moment — for example your sign-in identity or your storefront's public photos — the app tells you right there and states exactly what is still pending. Write to us at [email protected] and we complete it. We never report as deleted something that still exists.
What stays untouched
The data stored locally on your device. BakeCost works offline and without an account: what's on your phone stays there, and is only erased if you delete the app or clear its content from within the app itself.
If you want to keep your information, export a backup before deleting your account: More → Backup → Create backup.
